An extraordinary wedding – The Boho Style
Imagine a free and spacious environment. Everything appears peaceful and the decoration underlines the environment perfectly: tables and chairs made of tree stumps, cards, and candlesticks in woody brown. That's the Boho Style. Maybe you have already heard of the term. A lot of people think about nature, naturalness, and freedom when they hear it. But do you know where you can find this kind of style? To name only a few locations in everyday life: In the apartment, in the closet, but also on unique events, such as on a wedding.
The origins of the Boho Style
Boho is the acronym for Bohemian. It describes a fashion, lifestyle but also interior style, which was first influenced by the bohemian and later by the hippies.
Bohemians are intellectual fringe groups who generally want to break away from the conventional notions of existence and life their lives freely and independently without social constraints. Originally, the term Bohemian goes back to the 15th century and described the Bohemian-born Roma. But it was not until the middle of the 19th century that the term for a wide variety of styles, such as the style of clothing or furniture of the Boho, prevailed in the Western culture. Later, in the 60s and 70s, the climax of the hippie era, the style of clothing was partly based on the Bohemian style.
For several years, the style experienced a new boom in fashion but also in culture. More and more festivals and events are based on it. So if you like a unique wedding with a natural feeling, this style is just right for you.
The Boho Wedding: in harmony with nature
Imagine a large, green meadow, the nature surrounding you. Everything looks peaceful and the decoration matches with the Boho Style: The bride wears a beautiful, long dress with lace and a flower wreath on her head. The groom is dressed elegant but in a simple suit with a bow tie. You are far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the lights are shining gently down on you as you slowly go to the altar and look into each others eyes. Most desired, the wedding vow and the rings on the stump. That's what Boho is all about: a very special environment with a unique feeling.
A very special location
Especially at weddings, the Boho Style comes to their best advantage. The furnishings and clothing of the culture go hand in hand. However, there is no regular procedure. The important thing is that both, bride and groom, feel comfortable and can integrate their own ideas.
Traditionally, a boho wedding is recommended for a natural, spacious environment. It should ideally take place outside. The decoration is therefore not simply kept simple in white colors with a few flowers on the table. Its mostly equipped with wood elements, plants and sometimes feathers.
The Outfit
Boho means nature. This unity is also reflected in the clothing. Above all: naturality.
