A wedding on the beach of an exotic paradise
When talking about the dream wedding, everyone has a very personal idea. For some it is a traditional ceremony in the church, for others it means that they promise their mutual love on a beach, surrounded by the crystal clear sea. Who does not dream to take the first steps together in an exotic paradise? Jan and Paula said "I do" in exactly one such place and told us what to look out for when planning.
The island of Mauritius, where they celebrated their wedding, can be described as an emerald jewel in the middle of the Indian Ocean. It looks like a place where all the natural wonders of the world meet - white sand beaches, the clear turquoise sea, deep green forests, waterfalls and extinct volcanoes. The exotic nature meets high-quality service and comfort of the resorts.
"God first created the island of Mauritius
and then was inspired to form the earthly paradise." Mark Twain
The island resorts fulfill almost all wishes
Almost all resorts have a special venue for the ceremony, and it is often even possible to choose whether the wedding should be on the beach, in a gazebo or in a tropical garden. The choice of a place and some important, necessary documents that just need to be translated into English are basically the only thing that needs to be regulated by the wedding couple themselves. Countless travel agencies specializing in honeymoon do all the important things - translations, court verification and other paperwork. Luxury hotels in Mauritius are known for having well-trained staff who take care of every detail of the big day.
"Everything was perfect on the wedding day, the sun was shining and we spent the whole morning relaxing on the beach and enjoying the time. The hotel staff arranged the venue for the ceremony, the cake and the bouquet and decorated our room. At 3:00 pm a beautician and a hairdresser arrived and also the photographer arrived punctually. At 4.15 pm we stood together with our two groomsmen on the beach."

Foreign language is no obstacle
The only thing that seemed to be an obstacle was the language. Therefore, in the hotel where the couple arrived, a meeting with a Czech-speaking delegate who was familiar with everything was planned. The ceremony was in English, which was a minor handicap for the bride. But she just had to say a nice "I do" - everything worked out perfectly and all expectations were exceeded.
Our TIP: Remember that usually only the family and close friends are invited to a wedding abroad. So that all the others can participate in the big day, it makes sense to organize another ceremony at home, after the wedding abroad.
Stylish accessories according to your wishes
Paula told us that she has never experienced anything more beautiful than her wedding. Everything went without worries and stress. The only thing the bride and groom had to worry about was choosing the right clothes. Until the departure, the bride had bought her dream wedding dress - without any worries. And as for the groom - the suit had to be complemented by a wooden bow tie. With the help of the BeWooden configurator, they have created a bow tie made of walnut wood with a fabric piece with tiny blue flowers.
We thank Paula and Jan for sharing this unique moment with us.
We wish them good luck and love
for their journey together through life.
